Franklin County Circuit Clerk:
Walk-in absentee voting is suspended while the courthouse is closed. We will continue to process applications received by mail. If you have any questions, you can still contact the office at

Franklin County Solid Waste Department:
Payments can be placed in night deposit at the office at 405 N. Jackson Ave, Russellville, AL 35653 or by mail at P.O. Box 1205, Russellville, AL 35653. Contact the office with any questions at (256)332-8412. Garbage will be picked up on schedule.
Landfill will remain open at this time call with any questions at (256) 332-5983.
Franklin County Probate Office:
Boat Tags renewals may be done over the phone or www.alabamainteractive.org/boat_registration/home/welcome.action
Driver’s License can be renewed at www.alrenewal.com
Beginning October 1, 2020 the Alabama STAR ID will be required to board commercial aircraft for domestic flights or to enter certain regulated federal facilities. The STAR ID is only issued initially at Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Driver License exam offices. (State Trooper’s office in Muscle Shoals or Hamilton are the closest offices to Franklin County)
